Thursday, June 5th my alarm went off at 2:30. After only two hours of sleep, I got up, packed my suitcase, drank a strong coffee, and left via M\u00fcnster for the Nextcloud Summit in Munich. It wasn't until 1:15 the next morning that I fell asleep again. A day of 22.5 hours without rest \u2013 but with a mission that burned like never before.<\/p>\n

Why am I sharing this? Because it wasn't just a day. It was a day that set something in motion. Not in my agenda, but in my conviction.<\/p>\n

W\"\"<\/a>What followed was no ordinary conference. It was a frontal clash with reality: Europe's digital infrastructure is up to 90% dependent on non-European technologies<\/strong>. The Summit's message was crystal clear:
\u2047 We have to act.
\u2047 We need to build.
\u2047 We have to do it now.<\/p>\n

Not tomorrow. Not if the conditions are perfect. Not if we feel a little more comfort or security first. But today.<\/p>\n

\u201cDigital autonomy is not a luxury. It is a necessity for our democracy.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What did I bring from Munich? Redemption under my eyes. But also fire in my stomach. The Nextcloud Summit was not a tech event. It was a manifesto. A collective call to action.<\/p>\n
