The Mask of European Pride
We like to walk around in Brussels and The Hague with chest ahead: “digital sovereignty, autonomy, independence.” Nice words for a conference, but in reality it is a play for the stage. Behind the scenes, the United States quietly twists the thumb screws. Trade tariffs as a weapon, software as a chain, investments as a stranglehold. We are not a tr otse partner, we are a serf.
‘A sovereign who lets himself be harassed rules only over his own illusions.’
Wall Street at the wheel
U.S. investors have ten percent control over our commercial operations. That's not a detail. That is a structural seat in the cockpit of our economic system. And believe me: No one buys so deeply and then stays on the sidelines. Wall Street has decided. Point. It is as if we have co-hired our economy to a landlord who has access to everything, including the spare key of the front door.
‘Who pays determines – and we sold without realising it.’
The button that silences us
Do you remember the Amsterdam Trade Bank? Digitally silenced in one fell swoop. Or the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, who suddenly no longer had access to his O365 account. No matter why it happened, the point is that it could happen. One click in Washington and we're flat. If that's not proof of our total dependency, then what is?
“Europe’s freedom turns out to be nothing more than a licence that America can revoke at any time.”
Caffara’s uncomfortable truth
On June 5 in Munich he said: Cristina Caffara the unvarnished: Our digital infrastructure is owned by US and Chinese companies. We Europeans do not even have our own nervous system. Our economy runs on servers we don't own, with software we don't control, funded by investors who aren't loyal to us. We are tenants in our own house, and the landlord decides when the power goes off.
“Those who have no foundations cannot build a future.”
From obedience to obedience
It's time to face reality: Social-democratic Europe is nothing more than Washington's herd. A borrower who serves his borrower obeys and remains silent. And that gentleman is falling further and further into fascist reflexes: control through data, discipline through dependency, punishment through exclusion. Europe nods ‘yes and amen’ while sacrificing its own spine.
‘Whoever voluntarily enslaves himself should not be surprised if he is treated as a slave.’
